New York City
After September 11, 2001

New York City's skyline has been drastically altered by the horrific attacks on September 11, 2001.   Note:  The black lines are approximate locations of the World Trade Center towers.  This photo was taken on September 26th.  Smoke rose from the site (and still does today, November 13, 2001, two months after the attacks). Three buildings  have  protective red coverings to prevent debris from falling from their damaged facades.
